Dental Exams and Cleanings

Preventing Problems Before They Start

The health of your child’s teeth and mouth is very vital for the well-being of his or her entire body. Although routine brushing and flossing at home are necessary to keep your child’s smile looking its best, visiting our office for a comprehensive exam and cleaning is essential.

The American Dental Association recommends that children visit the dentist every six months to ensure their teeth stay healthy and smile stays beautiful.

By routinely seeing our team for exams and cleanings, your child can:

  • Prevent tooth decay, gum disease, and bad breath
  • Avoid costly and extensive dental procedures
  • Enjoy white teeth by reducing staining from food and drinks
  • Shorten the time spent in our office
  • Have a smile that will last a lifetime

Woodhill Medical Park Experience

At Woodhill Medical Park your child will be catered to in a warm and cozy environment. Your child will be warmly greeted with a smile by a dental assistant. The dental assistant will take digital X-rays of your child's teeth. One of our dentists will thoroughly examine your youngster’s teeth and gums for signs of tooth decay, and other oral problems. The dental hygienist will carefully clean your child’s teeth with a variety of tools to remove any hard-mineral buildup (tartar) from the teeth. Then the hygienist will floss your child’s teeth, use a polishing compound, and apply fluoride.

Preston Hollow Village Experience

At our Preston Hollow Village your school aged, tween or teen will be exclusively served! This location is age specific for a fun, upbeat and cool environment that your tweens and teens will enjoy. At the beginning of the appointment the dental hygienist will take X-rays of their teeth as well as carefully clean your tween's teeth with a variety of tools to remove any hard-mineral buildup from their teeth. Then the hygienist will floss your tweens teeth, use a polishing compound, and apply fluoride. One of our dentists will thoroughly examine your tweens teeth for signs of decay and any oral issues. They will then discuss the findings with you.
